Welcome to my site!
Since you are here, you obviously know my name. Now, let me tell you a little about myself, in case you didn’t know.
I graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2008 with my BA in Psychology with Honors, attended and graduated from Maastricht University (The Netherlands) in 2011 with my MS in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience (specialty: psychopathology), and successfully defended my doctoral thesis with Hannover Medical School (Hannover, Germany) in 2017.
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology at my Alma Mater, SUNY Oswego, and am the Director of the Sexual Neuroendocrinology Lab (SeNeu Lab). The focus of my lab is sexual abuse prevention, with ongoing projects related to this topic. I also conduct research into the origins of sexual orientation and the development of paraphilias, broadly. Beyond research, I collaborate regularly with non-profits in the sexual abuse prevention world to promote the successful translation of research knowledge into clinical practice.
Students are encouraged to seek contact with me if they share similar research interests or if they are just curious about what I do. I am always happy to support the next generation of scholar-practitioners.
