Welcome to my site!
Since you are here, you obviously know my name. Now, let me tell you a little about myself, in case you didn’t know.
I graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2008 with my BA in Psychology with Honors, attended and graduated from Maastricht University (The Netherlands) in 2011 with my MS in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience (specialty: psychopathology), and successfully defended my doctoral thesis with Hannover Medical School (Hannover, Germany) in 2017.
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology at my Alma Mater, SUNY Oswego, and am heavily involved in teaching, research, and service. I have established my research lab (Sexual Neuroendocrinology Lab) with the Psychology Department at SUNY Oswego and you can find more information on my running research projects under Current Projects. My general area of research is neurobiopsychology, specifically I seek to investigate the putative psychological and neurobiopsychological mechanisms behind the behavior of both healthy and paraphilic sexual behavior. I have worked with sexual offenders against children, both pedophilic and non-pedophilic, as well as sexually healthy men. I plan to expand my research to also include other paraphilias/fetishes.
Students are encouraged to seek contact with me if they share similar research interests or if they are just curious about what I do. Interaction in this sense is what drives my research passion!
